Tuesday Tipplers

October 8, 1991

The group assembled and started the evening with a California Fume Blanc. Serious business began with a blind tasting of six red wines. Members were asked to describe the wines and associate them with the open bottles. The open bottles than had "an expert oenophile" opinion applied to each and members were allowed to change their own choices. All were surprised by the opinions - non agreed with the experts. All agreed that the Rodney Strong '88 Cabernet sauvignon was the best of the bunch and a bargain at $13.50.
